The Hunger Games is a dystopian story set in the country of Panem, where a rich capital rules over 12 poor districts. Every year, the Capitol forces each district to send one boy and one girl (called tributes) to compete in the Hunger Games. The 24 tributes must fight in a dangerous arena until only one person survives. The Games are broadcast on television as entertainment and to remind the districts not to rebel.
