Homunculus — is a psychological horror seinen written and illustrated by Hideo Yamamoto, published from 2003 to 2011 and consisting of 15 volumes. The plot follows 34-year-old homeless man Susumu Nakoshi, who agrees to an experimental craniotomy for money, which gives him the ability to see «homuculus» — distorted visual manifestations of subconscious injuries, fears and desires of others.
