In 2012, a world war began. By 2037, New York is buried in snow and its last survivors live in the subway tunnels. John, a young engineer, believes other societies are still out there, and he builds a radio to find them. But while he searches the world for answers, the people closest to him start to change, and something is moving in the dark.
