His breath, which still comes every eleven minutes, moves the ground underfoot. The city has normalized all of it. This City Dreams of Gods follows a student, a detective, a choir singer, a diver, an engineer, and a linguist as the signs they have spent generations not looking at begin to converge. Vel is not dead. He is waking up. The city has no plan for this and nowhere to go.
