A surreal, darkly comedic, and deeply melancholic coming-of-age odyssey that follows a boy named Punpun from elementary school through his early twenties. As he navigates a deeply dysfunctional family, first love, and the harsh realities of growing up, the audience views him not as a human, but as a crudely drawn, faceless cartoon bird living in a hyper-realistic world.
