John Marston

John was born to an American mother and Scottish father, his mother worked as prostitute while his dad was illiterate and unemployed. John's mother died while giving birth to him leaving him in the custody of his drunkard dad who would waste away and regularly getting into bar fights, one of which would end in his demise and leave John an orphan at 8 years old. John would then spend the next 4 years on the streets being forced to rob and even kill to survive until 12 when he was taken in by Dutch. He would then be taught how to read, write and how to ride a horse which would make him the golden boy of the gang. In 1894 John would meet Abigail after she joined the gang and they would fall in love and eventually have a son named Jack which would cause him to leave the gang for a year due to the stress of fatherhood, he would rejoin but his relationship with the veteran members and his wife would be strained. John would spend his time with the gang occasionally taking part in missions and begins to distrust Dutch more and more thanks to his growing incompetence and rebuilt relationship with Arthur ultimately leading to him ultimately taking Abigail and John and escaping. He would live as a rancher and would join up with Sadie and Charles and would kill Micah on mount Hagen before retiring and being forced to hunt down the rest of the gang by Agent Ross who held his family hostage, leading to him capturing the gang and being backstabbed by Ross who kills him.
