Nicknamed the "Arab Baggio," his career remains an inexplicable enigma. Despite playing in a World Stars exhibition match, shining domestically with ES Sétif and MC Alger, and delivering dazzling performances in continental and regional tournaments, he never played professionally in Europe—unlike players with far less talent who did. He won two Arab Champions League titles, the North African Cup of Clubs, and various domestic league and cup trophies, yet the furthest he ventured abroad was the Kuwaiti league. He had the honor of representing the national team in only eight matches, scoring a single goal. His career is considered the second-greatest disappointment among Algerian fans, surpassed only by that of Abdelmoumene Djabou.
