Kiel ,,THE ANCHOR Reese"

Kieol Rees—known among the Structuralists as "The Anchor"—is the unofficial yet undisputed leader of the people living in the shafts, service corridors, and forgotten voids of Block-1. While the city’s other inhabitants exist within assigned sectors, Rees and his people long ago abandoned their official identities; they live within the structure itself. He earned the nickname "The Anchor" because of his ability to hold the group together amidst total uncertainty. When the walls shift at night and the city reconfigures itself, he is the one who decides where to retreat, when to remain still, and when to risk moving. His composure is almost unnatural. He speaks sparingly, but when he does, others listen. Rees believes that Block-1 is not a building, but a living organism. In his view, the city feeds on human fear and anxiety—which is precisely why it systematically confines its inhabitants to restricted sectors, denying them maps or any means of escape. The Structuralists under his leadership do not seek to destroy the city; instead, they strive to understand it, adapt to it, and perhaps even negotiate with it.
