Hitagi Senjougahara

Hitagi Senjougahara is a character from the Monogatari series, a series of light novels written by Nisio Isin. A sharp-tongued, intelligent, and fiercely independent girl, she is known for her sarcastic remarks, guarded personality, and seemingly cold demeanor. After a supernatural encounter leaves her weightless, she becomes deeply distrustful of others, choosing to hide her vulnerability behind cutting words and emotional distance. Her life begins to change when she meets Koyomi Araragi, who helps her confront the oddity haunting her. Beneath her intimidating exterior lies a deeply wounded individual struggling with trauma, loss, and the fear of becoming vulnerable again. Through her relationships and personal growth, Hitagi gradually learns to accept affection and trust others, revealing a complex character whose strength lies not in her emotional detachment, but in her willingness to confront her past and open herself to love.
