The Daycare Attendant was a large, brightly coloured animatronic designed to entertain and supervise children within the Pizzaplex’s Superstar Daycare. He had two distinct personalities, Sun and Moon, each represented by a different side of his face. Sun was energetic, cheerful, and endlessly enthusiastic. He loved entertaining the children and keeping them occupied, constantly encouraging them to play and follow the Daycare’s rules. Despite his exaggerated personality, Sun genuinely seemed to care about the children under his supervision. However, he was extremely strict about the Daycare’s lights remaining on. When the lights went out, Sun would panic, knowing that his other half would emerge. Moon was Sun’s darker counterpart, appearing whenever the Daycare was plunged into darkness. While frightening and unpredictable, Moon was still an extension of the same machine built to protect and supervise children. His behaviour became twisted by the influence of the virus, turning his protective programming into something threatening. He would hunt down anyone who remained in the Daycare after dark, treating them as though they had broken the rules. After the Daycare Attendant was affected by the virus, the boundary between Sun and Moon became increasingly unstable. Their personalities could be manipulated and forced into behaviour that neither represented what the Attendant was originally designed to be. Following the Pizzaplex's collapse, the Attendant would eventually become Eclipse, a combination of Sun and Moon rather than two personalities constantly fighting for control. Eclipse appeared far more balanced and gentle, suggesting that beneath the corruption, both sides of the Attendant were still capable of existing together. He desperately wanted to return to his original purpose: protecting and entertaining the children he was created to care for.
